::Extra Bonus::
Guess what?
The government planning to give out cash to every adult starting from 21 years old!!! Yippee..
Damn elated hearing this piece of good news early in the morning. Definitely make my day better.
At first, I was quite confused when reading through the different category that the newspaper wrote.
So many rules and regulations!
After some research, I reckon that I fall into this category: $600 if you earn more than $24,000 and live in a four-room or smaller HDB flat; or if you earn $24,000 or less and live in a five-room or larger HDB flat.
Woohoo…Lots of idea is already forming in my head on how to use this fair bit of extra cash.
How about pampering myself with a nice bag, hand phone or a spa session that I always wanted to go?
Finally I decide to save the money and use it for buying air tickets to either Europe or Japan! *grins*
Well…too bad for my brother. He didn’t have much luck to receive this good fortune because of his birthday. It doesn’t fall within the date stated although he’s 21 this year. Tsk tsk…
Tough luck! Maybe next time, Bro!
Nevertheless, this extra bonus will really help a lot to those needy and low-income family and elderly people.
It’s really a joy for everyone out there who’s eligible for this.

Valentine Night out
Nearly faint at the sight of the long queue when we first arrived over at Park Mall. But still, we decided to queue up along with the others, thinking that some people might just give up queuing halfway and it might be our turn very soon. Yet, it turned out that Miss A and I had to queue up for nearly 1 and a half hour before we get inside. Break record!
Anyway, while waiting to get in, Miss A handed me a blue plastic bag.
I was damn surprised when I saw what’s inside. Chocolates! Yippee.. Very unexpected surprise!
My first Valentine gift of the day (as if anyone else will give me other gifts…hahahaa)
So sweet of her! Thankz gal!
While inside, the waitress directed us to the 2nd level of Fish & Co. I find that the decoration of the whole place was very nice and there was also live band, singing love songs and reading dedication message as well. The set meal of the day was cool which include soup of the day, ice cream, main dish and a drink to go with it.
As expected, sitting around us are mainly couples.
Kinda envy those who received flowers from their boyfriends. Tsk tsk…
Although some might say it’s kind of a waste to buy flowers for their gf on Valentine day, but I still think that a small bouquet will do just fine. I will be very happy. Hahaa…
Hope next year I will be able to receive one from my future bf. Keke

Randoms...
Apparently, my boss still has not confirmed my pay raise. Duhz.
Why give me high hope in the first place if he cannot give me an answer as yet?
Make mi so happy and then dash my hopes…
Anyway, if I really got this job offer and a better job package, I will just leave my current company and dun care about the rest.
I admit that my current company is a comfortable working place with no worries and without much supervise.
Somemore got free transport and good benefit welfare. So why still wanna leave rite?
But it’s too laidback and I feel that I will not be able to keep up with the outside world pace if one day I was to be sacked or if my company was to close down for some reason.
Well, just see how it goes then.
Soon after Chinese New Year, it’s going to be Valentine day very soon. A day where the guys will have to rack their brain for ideas to bring their beloved girlfriends to a special romantic dining place to celebrate.
When we think of Valentine’s Day, the first thing that comes to mind is red roses, Valentine’s Day cards with hearts all over and romantic candlelit dinners. Hotels and restaurants will be quick to commercialize Valentine’s Day, promoting their dinner packages for two, candles on tables, and serenades.
Other than restaurants, I think florists are the true beneficiaries of Valentine’s Day.
Normally on this day, the prices of the roses will definitely be more costly than any other day. So that only spells bad news for the guys! Because of the big hole that will be burned in their pockets, in order to please their better half.
Beside that, like any other typical girl, I also wish that if I have a bf, he will specially makes an effort to leave work early on this special day and take me out for dinner, or even better, surprise me with some little gift that he handmade.
I’m someone who appreciates all these little gift gesture or cards and will keep it aside in my box of collection for memory sake.
As for this year, I haven’t got any dates so far.
Hence I will be spending my V day with Miss A instead. Well, V day actually also mean Friendship day too.
So even if one does not have dates for that day, you can still spend it with your friends. Cheers!

Happiness is in the air
Well, it just happened that one of my colleagues (Miss S) in the same dept handed in her resignation letter (Wah…faster than me!! Haiz…).
After much consideration, the management decided to let me take over her duties and give me a pay raise as they didn’t want to employ another gal. Hence, this means that I will be solely handling the oversea market.
Anyway, Miss S actually knows of my plan of resigning and advices me to stay put first and try to make use of this chance to “train” myself to handle this huge responsibility. It will be beneficial for me. Oh well, hopefully I will be able to handle all these additional workload and don’t let my boss down.
Yes! That also means I will be stuck here for the time being. But I will still carry on looking for a new job and leave here when I got a good offer. Even thought I hate the idea of staying here again, but the fact of able to request for a higher pay range is very much to my liking! Yeah!!
Secondly, one of my poly gal buddies, Miss A, is getting Rom on the 1st of Feb.
I was quite surprised when she breaks the news to me as i didn't hear her mentioning any news about that.
Haha.. Seems that she wanted everthing to be booked and confirmed before she reveals the big news.
Truly thrilled for her as she has finally found her Mr. Right and able to build
their love nest together very soon.
Wish you all the best, blissful gal!
I reckon for these next 2 years, most of my friends will be settling down one by one.
It’s not an easy task to find someone who shares the same frequency and goals in life.
So for those who found theirs, congratulation!
You are on your way to a new chapter in life.
To me, the thought of settling down with someone seems quite distant.
Perhaps, it’s partly because I haven’t met the one who gives me that feeling yet.

Memoirs of a Geisha
Haha… What a pleasure of having such special treats!
Yesterday, we went to watch the premiere of “Memoirs of a Geisha” at Cineleisure. Needless to say, it was free tickets again this time, courtesy of Media corps.
On hearing that it was going to be free seating, we quickly finish our dinner and headed straight for the cinema.
Well, as the saying goes: early birds always get to choose the good seats but little did we know that the whole level of cinemas was all booked for showing that movie at that time slot. Hence, still got plenty of seats around. Oh well, never mind then.
Had heard good comments about this movie and that it was nominated for 2 Golden Globes.
Basically, in Memoirs of a Geisha, a world where appearances are paramount; where a girl's virginity is auctioned to the highest bidder; where women are trained to beguile the most powerful men; and where love is scorned as illusion.
Sayuri’s (Zhang Zhi Yi) story begins in a poor fishing village in 1929, when, as a nine-year-old with unusual blue-gray eyes, she is taken from her home and sold into slavery to a renowned geisha house.
Slowly, thought-out the show, we can witness her transformation as she learns the rigorous arts of the geisha: dance and music; wearing silk kimono, elaborate makeup and hair; competing with a jealous rival for men's solicitude and the money that goes with it.
Rather interesting to understand how the culture of the geisha is like and the movie did a fine job establishing the highly disciplined world of a geisha, a world where many sacrifices are to be made.
Plus, there were also beautiful scenery in the streets of Gion - the geisha district of Kyoto - with its marvelous teahouses and theaters, narrow back alleys, ornate temples.
On the whole, it was quite an entertaining and interesting show but was rather lengthy too. I was squirming in my seat, wondering when it was going to end. Keke…perhaps feeling quite tired.
Nevertheless, this movie brings me to another level of understanding of Japan’s history, which I always been interested in, ever since I was young.
I’m more determined to visit Japan if I got the chance. To try on the lovely kimono, admire the sakura flowers and visit the ornate temples.

Gloomy Weather
Oh my..it’s been raining non-stop these 2 days! I can’t even go out shopping alone as I don't want to be drenching wet and feeling cold out there. I HATE it esp. when it’s raining non-stop on weekend. Makes me totally no mood to hang out in the street.
Well, I had actually booked an appointment to go for facial today but "lazy" me got to reschedule it to next Tue instead. I refuse to step out into the cold weather out there.
I rather kept myself warm in my bed or even surfing net and looking out for jobs online.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a bright and sunny day then!
It’s supposed to be a long weekend for me but I actually waste 2 days, rotting at home – watching DVD (bewitched), listening to songs and tidying up my room. Arghhh….
Pls dun rain anymore tomorrow! Will be most grateful!

Resolutions for Year 2006
Well, one of them is definitely a new work environment! Which I hopefully wish for….
Been on the lookout for a new job for ages! But it’s going to be tough as I wanted to change into totally different work aspects.
It’s all about related qualification and relevant work experience that the employers are looking for. Tsk tsk
That’s explaining why I’m still stuck in this current job for so long. Arghh…
Anyway, it’s been nearly 4 years on my current job. Hence it’s really time to move on. To learn more stuffs and gain more work experience.
Perhaps one will tends to fear and waver at the thought of stepping out of the comfort zone. But the career advancement and prospects are the more important factors to be considered, rather than doing the same old thing for your whole life. Don’t you think so?
Thus, I really need to be firm and persistent to look out what I’m looking for in a job. Other than that, luck also plays a part too. I will be most grateful if any kind-hearted person out there will grant me the opportunity to work in my dream job. Keke…
If there are no other options, I will choose back the same job scope but different work industry.
Worse come to worse, maybe I will just quit my job and perhaps might get a better chance of getting a new job. (Neh…. that’s a risky move) Haha..
In conclusion, I just wanted to experience a new work style and learn more things while I’m still young.
So wish me luck, folks. Do let me know if you happen to know of any interesting jobs out there,k? Muacks~

Xmas Gifts
This also means that I’m going to be another year older too. Pengz….
Apart from that, I had a rather wonderful and splendid time, spend with my friends over the long weekend: watching midnight movie - The Chronicles of Narnia and giggling over some silly mistakes make during the mahjong session (Well, we’re still newbies on this…so must pardon us wor)
For this year Xmas exchange, I received one SKII treatment mask and a toiletries bag from Dawn, a cute set of doggy poker cards and candle set from Cindy. (Thankz gals!!).
But that’s not all. The best part has yet to come (something that I always wants and dreamt of).
Well, this particular present was hand-delivered by my gs’s father yesterday morning.
At that time, I was sleeping like a dead log and couldn’t hear the phone ringing loudly in the hall. Guess I was too tired and beat from Sunday’s night mahjong session (used up too many brain cells).
He actually called mi 8 times( 5 times to my home, 3 times to my hp) and I didn’t heard a single one at all .Normally my mum will answer it and wake me up immediately.
But just happen that she was not around too and was out buying breakfast with my dad during that period of time.
Imagine my shock and embarrassment when my bro finally woke me up!! Her dad must be puzzled and wondering what is going on. What took me so long to answer the phone?!?! Haha..
Sorry uncle!!
I was still in dreamy and blur state of mind when I was fumbling thought the things that my gs passed to me. My eyes shone when I saw it! My greyish-blue winter jacket with fur hood( My Xmas pressie )!! Yippie…
Although beforehand, my gs has told me about it. I was still elated and surprised to see it as I totally forgot that her bro was coming back to spore that week. Other than my lovely jacket, there were also some letters and candys( from Black pool, Germany and London) for the SJC gals and Lisi. So sweet of You, Gs! Muacks!
You all must be thinking why I want a winter jacket even thought I cannot even wear it in Singapore. Well, it’s because I heard that it’s selling quite cheap and have quite a wide range of selection over there in UK. It’s also something that I always wanted. Hence I told my gs that no matter what, must remember to get me one of that before she left for UK. Keke..”kiasu” me.
How I wish I can wear it out in the streets! Hahaa.. But I think the people out there will be either laughing their heads off or rolling on the floor laughing if I really did that. Never mind. I shall patiently wait for an opportunity to use it then….Perhaps during on a trip to snowing season in Hokkaido or in Europe.

My New Hairstyle
For some of you who is reading this, might have know that I have the intention to do it for quite some time. And Yes! I finally permed my hair. Keke..
Actually, this is not my first time doing it. I got a free perming session, won at a online contest some years back. That experience was a total flop.
As for this time round, I decided to try out spa perm, which C2 done.
I always like japanese permed hairstyle and it’s hard to find stylist who can perm hair so well .
Judging froms hers, gave me the courage to go for it.
Plus, I did highlights to my hairs 2 months ago, which I think will make the curls more obvious.
But it didn't turned out to be what I expected in mind.
It's not really curly for my case – just a turn or so at the hair ends.
Hmm, perhaps my hair wasn’t long enough?
But at least this time round, the perm was so much better than the previous attempt.
Overall I still prefer C2’s hairstyle. Hers was so much nicer & ladylike, as compared to mine. Tsk tsk.
Maybe I should have waited for my hair to grow longer then try it.
Well, oh well, at least it's a new look and I took pictures of my new hairstyle on the first day for memory.
It always looks the best on the first day. Hahaa.... *Vain me*
Hope my hair grows longer faster then perhaps I will give it another try again! *cheers*

Juggle Bell Juggle Bell Juggle all the Way ..
WooHoo~ another 2 more weeks and it will be Xmas!! My favorite festival cum holiday of the year!! A time of to rejoice and exchange gifts with friends and family.I’m can’t wait for it to come esp. for this year, had arrange Xmas exchange session at my friend’s house. Feeling quite thrilled at the thought of it, it’d been ages since we have this kind of arrangement. *cheers*
Every year around this time, I always enjoyed walking along the stretch of orchard road, admiring the dazzling Christmas light-up. As for this year, the Christmas Light-up was actually Singapore’s longest and brightest ever coordinated, stretching continuously from Tanglin Road, Scotts Road, and Orchard Road to Marina Bay area.
Warm red and orange lights decorated Orchard area whereas Marina Bay area will be a magical shimmering sea of blue and white, with flickering and sparkling stars. Furthermore, lots of exciting celebratory and choir performances can be seen along Orchard Road at three different locations – Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza, Paragon and Tong Building. While strolling by and feasting on the visual spectacle, it’s really a treat to listen to the loving Christmas carols which adds on to the Xmas ambience.
What i loves best, is that during this period, many shopping malls will also be offering irresistible promotions and great shopping deals. Guess with such spectacular array of celebratory events and great shopping deals, it’s a truly wonderful arrangement to attract tourists & locals to enjoy and basket in the joy of this festive season. Aren’t it great~
Now, come to think of it, I haven’t really done much Xmas shopping yet, was actually thinking to search for it during my KL trip (another 3 days more, Hurray).
A mini get-away that was planned 2 months ago. Yeah, can rest & relax for a while. Simply splendid~
Hopefully I will be able to buy some great bargains back. Otherwise, there’s always great shopping deals that’s not to be missed in Singapore, waiting for mi to grab. Haha..

Have you ever tried....
As for me, I do find that some of these test results are quite accurate and rather interesting. Keke...
It’s just for fun & entertaining purpose. It’s up to you whether u believes in it or not....
How about tarot cards? Have you try it before?
Well, I try out that once. Happens that one of my gs’s friends got a set of that.
I was kinda excited and curious to try it out because western fortune-telling are sort of different from our Chinese style. Perhaps it was more mysterious and in awe of it.
Anyway, just to share with you all. Here are some of the details and history background of Tarot cards that I check out. It is a deck of cards that originated over 500 years ago in northern Italy. Today, the Tarot is considered the most popular tool for spiritual introspection in the West.
A tarot reading is a snapshot of your energy at the time of the reading. Reveal many things to us and help show us paths we might not consider on our own. It looks at what you are manifesting and estimates likely outcomes based on the direction the energy is running at the time of the reading. While some outcomes are more likely than others, you set the energy and create your path.
A reading can give you insight and information but what you do with it determines your course, not the cards. They are merely a device to assist you along your path, with anything from everyday troubles to planning life changes and futures.
Tarot is one of many metaphysical tools that allow us to look into our lives and find out some extra information we hadn't really understood or hadn't known before. Working with the Tarot brings light to a confirmation of things you've always known (your own inner wisdom), or adds a new perspective to a perplexing question or problem. Tarot gives you a context for understanding not only what your choices are, but how you feel about them.
Guess that’s the basic information about the whole Tarot cards. After reading all these, maybe I will get one of that set of it to try it out.
Anyone wanna sponsor one of that for me? *grins*

Will you show your support?
That’s really expensive comparing to Jay Chow, Jacky Cheung or even David Tao.
The reason being was that because she has made a name for herself and won many awards as well as hordes of fans from Taiwan, to Hong Kong, China and Singapore. Hence was labeled as an international star.
No doubt about Stephanie being Singapore's hottest music export. But still, I find that the pricing was way, way too steep. So far till now, the most expensive concert tickets that I bought, was to Jay’s concert (27 Nov 2004). In my opinion, it’s hard and rare to catch his live performance in Singapore. Hence I will not hesitate to buy his concert tickets at all, provided that the tickets ranges are affordable.
Well, I guess that’s really up to each individual preference.
Song of the month..
Song name is : 枫.
Ablum name is : 十一月的萧邦
Another splendid masterpiece that can be found in Jay’s newest ablum.
I simply love this song. Yeah!
A slow song that is soothing & full of feelings. A recommendation for all of you out there. Way to go, Jay!

.: Lovely Morning Sun :.
The last 2 days were raining cats and dogs like mad. I dislike rainy weather during the day! It always makes me feel so gloomy & cold in the office. Seem like “winter” is coming, but it’s not. So chilling till I shiver even, in the showers too. Not liking it a single bit! *Bleah*
Yet instead, I will welcome this coolness only at night.. Ha ha .Because I can hide under my cozy blankets and enjoy the warm feeling. I reckon that’s how everyone feels too, right?
If only it will snow in Singapore, I will love to wear those long lovely jackets with matching scarf. But it’s impossible. So dream on ~, gal!

Enjoyable weekend~
Really had a happy & fun time spend with each of the different gangs of friends, except for some disappointing incidents.
On fri , I meet up with my poly mates to Jumbo resturant @ serangoon club & ktv session after that.(nv did know that there was Jumbo @ chomp chomp area) .
But nevertheless , it was a good try , been hearing that the foods are nice , esp the seafood . During the KTV session, some sang songs while some played dices & drank liquor.
Overall ,guess they r really having tons of fun from the sound of their laughter. Damn noisy as I can't even heard my own singing when it's my turn. Anyway, most importanly is that everyone enjoyed themselves & have their own share of fun , if not for some unwanted "pests".
To be exact, She's one of my poly mate's gf who is not at all popular in our gang. As we all noe that first impression always counts rite? But Carrot(a nickname that we gave her) bends on setting a really irritating & bitchy behaviour which makes us dislike her more & more whenever we meet up. Without her around, I think my friends will have enjoyed themselves more that night.
Why did our frend sees in her? That makes me really wonder...Perhaps birds of a feather flock together??
As for sat, I meet up with C2, BS & Aihuey to watch Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire @ Bishan, J8. C2 booked the tix a week ago as good seats are hard to get esp for a movie which is selling like hotcakes.
I was kinda looking forward to this epsiode but was quite disappointed on the whole as quite a lot of contents were left-out by the director. Too much short-cuts here & there too which makes it hard for some pple ( my mum watch it with my aunite & was complaining to me abt it on fri ) to understand the whole story .
But still, the graphics effort was brilliant & nicely-done. Dragons, Mermaids, Flying on brooms, Conjuring spells & learning how to play Qudditch(a Howarts all-time fav sports). All these only happening in Harry potter stories plots.
How nice it will be if there's really magic in this world. Guess I would love to use the "Portkey" to travel around the world(Yeh...fat Hope, Dream on)
Normally I will rest at home on Sunday. But yesterday was different . I got a date with Yan yan(Nelly's bb) & i can't miss that!
Neh , actually the truth is it's also our nov gathering as well. Just that our dear Mummy Nelly need to rest at home & take care of little Yan yan.
Hence , for the convience of all, we decided to have steamboat @ her cosy home. (Yummy yummy). Had a really delicious meal with red bean lotus soup & fruits to finish off. All the time while we r eating & luffing during the meals, little yan yan was peacefully sleeping like an angel. Such a sweet darling~
So i decided to check on her & try to make her "wake" up (Pengz, notti me,Bully little bb).
Her body seem so fragile & soft. At first, i didn't dare to carry her, scared that i will hurt her unintentionally as she's only a month old.
Apart from that, I just cannot resist to give it a try from hearing some tips from Chun xin.
After some attempts, I finally made it! (Yeah~Keke...).
Very soon, all of us start to take turn to carry her in our arms & take pics with this little darling - Our first junior member of our gang.
Can't wait for her to grow up so that we can bring her out for shopping & take part in our monthly gathering. Anyhow, I still cannot believe that nelly is the first one, among us to get married & become a mum @ such a young age.
I can't imagine myself reaching this stage as yet.Maybe another 2 years or so.
Perhaps I will be ready by then. Who knows...

A Whole New Beginning...
It's just that I'm too lazy to start about it(keke). A very bad habit of mine.
Always think & make decision far too long. (For example,my braces loh)
Guess I really got to change this bad habit!! One got to step out & try out whatever she/he wants in life , otherwise will regret it in the later part of life. Do not be afraid & hesitant.
*Failure is the mother of success*
In the past , the fear of failing, fear of being laughed by others , fear of being unaccepted by others are some of the factors that hinder in my decisions.
Lack of confidence & neagtives tots filled my minds. Never expect good things to happen to me as one must know his/her limit. (That's how i use to think) .
I was quiet & moody, nothing really interests me.Thus for a period of time,my life was thrown into darkness due to loss of focus in life too .
Gradually, I felt helpless, lonely & empty, which no one really know. My circle of friends are quite small,no much interaction with the outside world.
Music are my best companion in bus, trains or even in showers at times.Still , it really didn't help mi much.
The worst experience I had during those dark times was that I couldn't get to sleep at nights for a couple of nights. My mind was actively whirling with lots of thoughts & panic attacks seized me.
It was a really horrible & long-awaiting nights ,waiting for the dawn to come. That was the last straw.
Words of concern & encouragment from my friends & parents pulled me through after that incident.
I realized that I wasn't alone afterall.
I'm really thankful for them. Ever since then, I decided to open up & change my ways of thinking & started to read more on self-improvement & enrichment books .
I began to tell myself more positive things(Today is going to be a great day) & look on the bright side of life.
I wanna change into a different person. Life is too short to be waste on being self-criticial & being negative.
I want to reach out to the big & vast world out there.
Too many things that are waiting for mi to explore. I hope i can achieve more in life!
That's wat I wanted to do. To be a better person with no regrets~
